Youssef AbuElnassr teaches German to students who are learning it for a reason — a university place, a job, a move abroad. His academy needed to work the way a real course does: students enrol in a specific level, pay for that level, and work through its lessons in order. We built it so a student can pay with Vodafone Cash, which is what most of his students actually use, and so the video lessons he has spent years recording cannot simply be downloaded and passed around.
Learning at your own pace
- Structured levels, not scattered videos: Each course is divided into sections that follow a proper teaching order.
- Watch again as often as needed: Lessons stay available to enrolled students, so a difficult point can be revisited.
- Materials alongside the video: Documents and supporting files sit with the lesson they belong to.
- Study from a phone: The whole academy works on a phone, which is where most students watch.
- Help when you are stuck: A built-in assistant answers questions about enrolment, access and how the courses work.
Enrolling and paying
- Enrol in the level you need: Students pay for a specific section rather than for one large package they may not finish.
- Pay with Vodafone Cash: Payment uses the method students already have, with no card required.
- Access opens straight away: Once payment clears, the section unlocks without waiting for a manual step.
- Each student sees their own courses: A student's account shows exactly what they have enrolled in.
Protecting the lessons
- Videos cannot be downloaded: Lessons stream to enrolled students and cannot be saved off the site.
- Screen recording blocked: Measures are in place to stop the content being captured and redistributed.
- Access tied to enrolment: Only students who have paid for a section can open it.
- Why it matters: A teacher's recorded course is their livelihood; protecting it protects the business behind the academy.
Managing the academy
- Courses built by the teacher: New courses, sections and lessons are created and reordered from a control panel.
- Uploading a lesson takes minutes: Video and supporting documents are added directly, with no technical step in between.
- Editing without republishing: Lesson titles, descriptions and structure can be corrected at any time.
- Only the academy can edit: Course management is restricted to the teacher's own account.
